PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the planning, designing, implementation, and monitoring of Communication Infrastructure including WAN circuits, POTS lines, Radio Communications and related technologies.
- Provide technology support: troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems; alert management, help desk team, and other IT groups when sensitive issues arise or a major problem is suspected; minimize client productivity loss caused by technology outages, and proactively define the infrastructure necessary for clients to meet their business needs.
- Design Communication infrastructure: plan for installation of platforms and technologies Develop plans for migration and implementation for infrastructure changes.
- Ensure that systems are configured according to established department standards, ensuring that systems are reliable for performance, availability and security
- Collect and compile data for reporting capacity and system compliance levels & ensure adherence to established Service Level Agreements.
- Incorporate security standards: research, design, implement security measures to safeguard information, software, and hardware against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure – based on corporate security policy. Monitor industry security sources for published vulnerabilities and evaluate the risks associated with them, along with their solutions.
- Monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput and availability: proactively research and locate the necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends before they develop; analyze and predict trends and develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring; participate in capacity planning; maintain high service levels for the user community, and establish a method to easily compare the installation performance against established performance objectives.
- Participate in after-hours on-call support. Available for after-hours on-call 24×7 support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Related field.
- 2-4 years experience in field
- Introductory level knowledge of various Communication technologies (WAN/POTS/RF).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- PC Skills required (Basic Microsoft Office and E-Mail).
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to communicate the status of various systems to management and/or support personnel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Communication and telecommunications installation field.
- Knowledge of telecom company system databases, processes, and technical publications.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary for this position is $60,500 – $84,000.
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
