PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting National Fuel’s Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS) and working closely with departments involved in PSMS to ensure compliance with American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice 1173.
- Maintaining the department budget.
- Supporting programs maintained through our safety management software solution, and its users.
- Coordinating updates to and testing of the Corporate Recovery Plan, Pandemic Plan and Business Unit Recovery Plans, as required. Assisting in planning corporate tabletop exercises to ensure Company readiness.
- Overseeing publication of certain safety communications and the department’s Intranet pages.
- Assisting with developing new or expanding existing safety initiatives or programs.
- Supporting the team members of the Safety Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer – service mindset
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving expertise
- Proven ability to be proactive and take initiative
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Safety, Engineering, Audit, or Operations’ experience
- Degree in Safety, Engineering, Management, Accounting, Statistics, or similar discipline

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
| The base salary range for this position is $60,500 – $88,000.

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
