The board of directors of the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation (Foundation), the charitable giving arm of National Fuel Gas Company (National Fuel), recently approved Foundation grants totaling $75,000.
According to David P. Bauer, Foundation President and President and CEO of National Fuel, funding was awarded to nonprofits that are longstanding partners.
“High numbers of children and adults in every county of our service territory experience food insecurity and hunger,” Bauer said. “Supporting food banks and helping many in our communities access food supplies has a clear impact and is a valuable recurring use of our funds.”
National Fuel continually provides funding to the following food banks:
- FeedMore WNY
- Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania
- Central Pennsylvania Food Bank
- Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County
The Foundation also regularly supports disaster and emergency service nonprofits in its footprint, including America Red Cross chapters in Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania and the City of Buffalo’s emergency weather safety plan, Code Blue.
“The Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania regions experience severe weather and other cold-weather-related disasters each winter. Our strong partnerships with the American Red Cross and Code Blue assist many in our community with warm shelter, food, clothing and other support services when needed,” Bauer said.
