Best Practices

At Seneca, we consider a "best practice" to be a technique, process or series of actions regarded by the industry and the regulatory community as the most effective and practical means of delivering a specific desired outcome.

Seneca employs best practices in all aspects of its operations, and continues to revise those practices in keeping with technological advances, regulatory requirements and the lessons learned through daily operations. Seneca is committed to improving all aspects of operations to ensure safety, environmental stewardship, increased productivity and to maximize economics for each site.

Seneca Resources also adheres to and supports recommended practice standards developed by the Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC), Appalachian Shale Recommended Practices Group (ASRPG) and American Petroleum Institute (API).

Our operational practices in California led to Seneca Resources being named Operator of the Year by California's Bureau of Land Management.
